culvii env

Show or switch the active environment (dev, sandbox, prod).

Synopsis

culvii env
culvii env <dev|sandbox|prod>

Description

Convenience for a handful of secondary commands, not a general environment switch. culvii workspace create/list fall back to this stored value when you omit --env, so you don't have to pass it on every call. culvii whoami has no --env flag of its own, but the workspace it displays is resolved from whichever environment is active here.

It has no effect on the two commands that matter most. culvii deploy always requires an explicit --env and never reads this default; culvii dev always runs in dev and ignores it entirely (see culvii dev, culvii deploy).

No argument: prints the active environment, tenant, and which environments you can access. With an argument: switches the stored value in ~/.culvii/config - a local write only, like culvii switch, no re-login.

Access checks

Switching to an environment you can't access in the active tenant is blocked: "You don't have access to '<env>' in this tenant," with the list of ones you can reach.

Examples

culvii env
# → current: dev
# → tenant: culvii-dev
# → available: dev, sandbox, prod

culvii env sandbox
# → env: sandbox | tenant: culvii-dev
# → Switched environment to sandbox

Error behaviour
